Signpost International celebrates 30 years!

On Friday, 28th October 2022, Signpost International marked its 30th year by hosting a celebration in our building the Roundhouse. Guests were made up of former staff and board members, past partners, representatives from community groups and long term supporters of the charity. Founder of the charity, Kerry Dixon was in attendance and spoke about how the journey began for him and Signpost. Current Chief Executive Officer, Jamie Morrison, then spoke about our work in the past 10 years before Caroline Bentley (Food and Health Development Officer) shared about the current work and the plans going forward. Kerry was then presented with a gift, recognising his service to the charity before the 30th birthday cake was brought through. Guests then received lunch in the Roundhouse Café, the buffet followed the pattern of Signpost’s food projects meaning all the food that was served was rescued food that we had received.

After lunch those in attendance had the opportunity to explore the Roundhouse for themselves, visiting our model East African Roundhouse and trying on virtual reality headsets which transported them to the countries we work in.

Friday was a fantastic day and we are extremely grateful to everyone that gave up their time to attend the event and we also thank everyone that watched the event online.

It has been really nice reflecting on 30 years of Signpost and now we are looking forward to the future and what it has in store for us.
