The Food Surplus Redistribution programme will intercept surplus, usable food (that would have been going to landfill) and transform these into freshly prepared meals that will be distributed to Dundee Foodbank and other larders across the city. The Roundhouse Café will look to launch later in the year and will comprise of a commercial café, where profits will be reinvested back into the Community Kitchen.

The ideal candidate will have experience of professional food production, aspects of café management and project coordination. The person should be a highly motivated individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Applications, comprising a CV and cover letter detailing your skills and experiences – with specific reference to the role requirements contained in the job description and person specification – should be received by 1pm Tuesday 22nd December.

Applications should be submitted either;
– By email to
– Or by post to: Michael Calder, The Signpost Centre, Lothian Crescent, Dundee, DD4 0HU
