Summer 2019 ‘Coffee That Cares’ launched!!

On Saturday evening (15th June) this summer’s ‘Coffee That Cares’ was launched with a fantastic acoustic night at Henry’s Coffee House!

Every summer drink that you buy in one of Henry’s shops over the summer months helps Ugandan farmers earn more for their crops and helps them send their children to school! For every summer drink sold Henry’s will donate 20p to support farmers in Uganda.

On Saturday we had five fantastic live performances from five very talented musicians. They were: Mark Ford, Theresa T-Menson, Yemsi, Zoë Swann and JD Avila.

The evening provided a great opportunity to thank Henry’s for all of their previous support.

In 2018 Henry’s ran 2 ‘Coffee That Cares’ campaigns which raised £870 for Farmers in Uganda. This money has trained. Funds were spent training and equipping agricultural experts in communities in Uganda to enable them to support approximately 200 farmers. It has also gone towards goods. Improved seeds, fertilisers, and crop sprayers were provided to farmer groups to increase crop production. Farmer trainers were provided with bicycles to enable to visit other farmers. Lastly, the money donated has resulted in healthy and resilient households. The additional food produced has enabled farmers to provide more than one meal per day to their families in addition to increasing their incomes, benefiting a total of 900 people.

Thank you to everyone who has supported ‘Coffee That Cares’!!
