At the beginning of the month we received a very generous donation from Common Grounds. Common Grounds is a charity, raising money to fund self-help projects, mainly in Africa, through a coffee shop in Milnathort. They were founded in October 2000 and funds raised since then total over £140,000. They donate to projects that cover health, education and agriculture. This year they chose Signpost International as one of the charities they chose to support. Yesterday, Peter our new Communications officer attended their project lunch to thank Common Grounds for their support and to share with them about our work. As they support projects mainly in Africa they were very keen to find out about our work in Uganda. The volunteers were eager to find out what their money was going towards out in Uganda. At the lunch Peter presented a certificate of thanks to Common Grounds. Thank you Common Grounds!
